Anthropocene Epic

It is timely in the Anthropocene epoch, more than ever to stop and observe human and planetary health. Anthropocene, the age of humans, implies many issues and problems either directly from man-made or indirectly between and in natural and artificial systems.1 Therefore, the unintended ecological consequences formed, such as global warming, species extinction, resource depletion, and global pandemics. Design is responsible ethically, ecologically, and socially.

Accordingly, we should increase the efficiency of our resources. In the social aspect, living in spaces that have no soul or life, shapes our personality and characteristics in a negative way. Thus, we should reevaluate the wider impacts of the designed interior spaces and how we transform our buildings and communities’ interior spaces in ways that help people thrive. We can do this by designing environments and spaces that are more life-giving and more life-sustaining for all forms of life. Additionally, using resources in a linear model is wasteful and should be transformed into completely closed-loop modeling to prevent wastefulness. That will create a positive future and will help move forward from the age of the Anthropocene to the ecological age of humans.
